• Bristol Waterfront - Finding Time To Shoot

A look at Bristol Waterfront near M-Shed on a cold, crisp and clear day with beautiful light and fantastic blue skies. This area of Bristol became a floating harbour in 1809 preventing tidal influences and is now a vibrant social, cultural and historical area of the city. Footage from my filming today at Filmed on the Panasonic DVX200 and recorded on the Atomos Shogun Inferno in 4K and rescaled to FHD during the edit. This was edited and graded from log footage entirely in Davinci Resolve. I have gone for a realistic look here rather than anything too filmic. Couple of shot moving in this at longer zoom lengths! I seriously need a more stable tripod for the gear I used today. Any suggestions? Music: Water's Edge Thanks for watching and please comment below if you like the short montage....

  • Bristol Waterfront (the old docks in the Redcliffe area), Christmas Day 2012

Roads that would normally see continuous traffic were relatively quiet in Bristol on Christmas morning 2012 and the Waterfront (old docks area) was awash with the sound of birds as opposed to humans. A swan struggled to get a grip on a slippery wooden slipway and a pigeon made it clear what he fancied for Christmas. As the surrounding buildings reflected peacefully in the water, not a single bum rested on the seats remembering the Bristol sailors and ships no longer with us. The constant drip from rooftop onto dustbin acts as a reminder that a few hours before there had been rain, rain, and more rain, making 2012 one of the wettest years on record. A similar walk out on Boxing day saw the usual traffic...The shops were open and the sales had started! Created on December 28, 2012 using ...

http://www.metramediastudios.com www.metra4.com BRISTOL BOROUGH, PA -- Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-8) and Bristol Borough Council President Ralph DiGuiseppe today announced a $1.5 million federal grant for an economic revitalization project to develop the Bristol Borough waterfront. The Boating Infrastructure Grant (BIG) provided by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is targeted for construction of a multi-million dollar public access pier on the Delaware River. The proposed $2.5 million project had been in the works over eight years before the combination of today's federal grant money paired with another million dollars- half of which was already approved by the Bucks County Commissioners- allowed the project to advance. "It certainly was easy to be an advocate for such a critical and forward thinking project," said Fitzpatrick. "This has been something we have been anticipating for a long time and much of the credit belongs to the Bristol Borough Council and President DiGuiseppe. I was pleased to support the grant on their behalf." The addition to the waterfront area, centered around the Waterfront Park, puts floating docks and a public pier at the hub of revitalization efforts. The project is expected to spur local business traffic as well as increase recreational use of the park and waterfront area. Council President DiGuiseppe, who is credited with spearheading this project, said, "The riverfront has never been utilized the way it will be in the future. This will be a tremendous boost to our economy with the boaters who will visit the town and our restaurants and businesses." He continued, "We've been fighting for this for years. I can't thank the Congressman and County Commissioners enough for their support. Bristol Borough was founded more than 300 years ago and is the third oldest town in Pennsylvania. Several of its districts- including its downtown area- are included in the National Register of Historic Places. The riverfront development project is part of the 20-acre Waterfront Park, trail and 25-acre Bristol Marsh Nature Preserve which are both part of the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor as well as the East Coast Greenway.

Cars and bikes will also be catered for in secure underground car parks and designated bike shed. Additional facilities, for a stress-free lifestyle include gated access, voice activated door entry, maintained communal areas and an on-site caretaker. At lower street level there will also be a collection of commercial properties which have been deliberately included within the masterplan to aid investment, economic growth and vitality within the immediate area. Residents choosing The General will not only be buying a piece of history, but also a property with all the convenience and security provided by a quality city centre home.
