A look at Bristol Waterfront near M-Shed on a cold, crisp and clear day with beautiful light and fantastic blue skies. This area of Bristol became a floating harbour in 1809 preventing tidal influences and is now a vibrant social, cultural and historical area of the city. Footage from my filming today at Filmed on the Panasonic DVX200 and recorded on the Atomos Shogun Inferno in 4K and rescaled to FHD during the edit. This was edited and graded from log footage entirely in Davinci Resolve. I have gone for a realistic look here rather than anything too filmic. Couple of shot moving in this at longer zoom lengths! http://www.metramediastudios.com www.metra4.com BRISTOL BOROUGH, PA -- Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-8) and Bristol Borough Council President Ralph DiGuiseppe today announced a $1.5 million federal grant for an economic revitalization project to develop the Bristol Borough waterfront. The Boating Infrastructure Grant (BIG) provided by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is targeted for construction of a multi-million dollar public access pier on the Delaware River. The proposed $2.5 million project had been in the works over eight years before the combination of today's federal grant money paired with another million dollars- half of which was already approved by the Bucks County Commissioners- allowed the project to advance. "It certainly was easy to be an advocate for such a critical and forward thinking project," said Fitzpatrick. "This has been something we have been anticipating for a long time and much of the credit belongs to the Bristol Borough Council and President DiGuiseppe. I was pleased to support the grant on their behalf." The addition to the waterfront area, centered around the Waterfront Park, puts floating docks and a public pier at the hub of revitalization efforts. The project is expected to spur local business traffic as well as increase recreational use of the park and waterfront area. Council President DiGuiseppe, who is credited with spearheading this project, said, "The riverfront has never been utilized the way it will be in the future. This will be a tremendous boost to our economy with the boaters who will visit the town and our restaurants and businesses." He continued, "We've been fighting for this for years. I can't thank the Congressman and County Commissioners enough for their support. Bristol Borough was founded more than 300 years ago and is the third oldest town in Pennsylvania. Several of its districts- including its downtown area- are included in the National Register of Historic Places. The riverfront development project is part of the 20-acre Waterfront Park, trail and 25-acre Bristol Marsh Nature Preserve which are both part of the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor as well as the East Coast Greenway.
